VIVE OOBE
VR Setup Experience
As a Lead visual/motion designer and production artist, I had the unique opportunity to work on the pioneering project of developing the inaugural out-of-the-box experience for the VIVE VR Headset setup. My role involved conceptualizing and implementing cutting-edge visual and motion design elements to craft an immersive and seamless user journey. Collaborating closely with a talented team, it was truly an exciting and rewarding experience to be at the forefront of shaping the future of VR technology.

OOBE - Dark Theme Concept
As with every project, I make a point of developing a diverse range of concepts—this often includes motion explorations, moodboards, and, when needed, prototypes that help bring the idea to life in a more tangible and fitting way.
While staying aligned with current trends is important, it doesn’t mean everything should look like an Apple clone. Each project deserves its own unique set of attributes—whether that’s distinctive UX patterns, animations at both micro and macro levels, or visuals that express the brand’s core DNA, or ideally, a combination of all of these.
OOBE - Final Design
Not my first choice, but still proud of the final result. Due to some technical limitations, I had to simplify around 50% of the original vision—this meant removing all motion, reducing the typographic treatments, and toning down the cinematic feel. That last part was especially important to me, as I initially envisioned this project as a step toward further blurring the lines between 2D and 3D.
